WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup  technique that will transform your brows providing colour, depth and shape. Say goodbye to smudged eyes and hello to perfect brows. The beauty treatment has been around for a few years but has really taken off since the royal wedding.

The semi permanent make up procedure takes about an hour to complete and provides immediate results.

While the tattooed freckles appear much darker following treatment, the pigment does settle down after a couple of days and leaves a pretty dusting effect which can last for up to three years.

SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION (SMP)

WHAT HAPPENS DURING MY CONSULTATION?

You will receive a thorough consultation and we will go through a medical check to ensure you are fit and well to be treated. If you are suitable for treatment we can proceed with treatment on the day or book you in on another day to return for treatment.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING MY TREATMENT?

If the face is being treated, a topical numbing cream will be applied to ensure you are comfortable during the procedure. If the scalp or body is being treated the area will be cleaned. Photos will be taken before and after the procedure. The area being treated will me measured, mapped and marked out and discussed with you to explain what it will look like. The pigment will be suited to your complexion or hair colour and the procedure will be carried out. A post procedure photo will be taken to show you your immediate results and if a follow up appointment is necessary this will be discussed with you.

WHAT AFTERCARE IS INVOLVED?

Aftercare will be explained to you verbally and provided to you in writing to help speed up the healing process and a ointment will be provided for any facial treatments. The skin recovers over a 7 day period and you must avoid allowing the area to become wet. Avoid direct sunlight, sauna, swimming, excessive amounts of coffee or alcohol and direct sun exposure for 4 days. Avoid using your usual routine products or any product that contains alcohol for 7 days. Avoid using exfoliants such as retinol or AHA and scrubbing products or devices in the area for 7 days. It is important not to pick or pull of any scabbing that may form in the area to prevent forcing the pigment out of the skin as this will effect the ink migration process.

DO I NEED TO TAKE TIME OFF WORK?

There is no need to take time off work and you can resume your usual daily routine.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS?

Common temporary skin responses are: Redness, dryness, tightness, slight irritation, tingling sensation. All of which will subside in 3-5 days. 

DOES SEMI-PERMANENT MAKEUP HURT?

Semi-permanent makeup treatment is painless and at most a buzzing sound can be heard from the vibration of the rotary tattoo machine.
